U.S. DISTRICT COURT – EASTERN MO SUSPENDS IN-PERSON ADR REQUIREMENT, ALLOWS MOTIONS FOR OTHER RELIEF IN CIVIL CASES IN LIGHT OF COVID-19

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

In an Order signed today by Chief Judge Rodney W. Sippel, the Court suspended all requirements related to in-person participation in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) under Local Rule 6.02(C) in order to allow for ADR to take place by any remote means agreed upon by the parties. The Court also noted in its Order that parties may need to request continuances or other relief during this time, stating that parties can file for that relief and should consult with opposing parties and file motions by consent wherever possible. A full copy of the order is attached below. Persons needing further information on this Order should contact Clerk of Court Gregory J. Linhares at greg_linhares@moed.uscourts.gov or (314)244-7890.
