US District Court - Eastern MO Extends Restrictions on In-Person Clerk’s Office Business Through Wednesday, November 25 for All Divisions

Friday, November 13, 2020

The Clerk’s Office for both the Eagleton and Limbaugh Courthouses will be closed to in-person business through close of business Wednesday, November 25, 2020 (Thursday and Friday November 26 and 27 are previously-scheduled holidays). These office closures may be further extended if necessary. Both offices remain open remotely. For the Eagleton/St. Louis Clerk’s Office call 314-244-7900, and for the Limbaugh/Cape Girardeau Clerk’s Office call 573-331-8800.

The previously-published limits on in-person proceedings to criminal hearings or trials where an in-person appearance is necessary, remain in place for the remainder of 2020. As was stated last week, civil jury trials will all be postponed until 2021 unless there is a very particular exigent circumstance requiring in-person appearance per the presiding Judge. All other civil and criminal matters will proceed remotely.

Please consult the Court’s COVID Information Center for further information on how persons can conduct Court business remotely, or contact Clerk of Court Greg Linhares at greg_linhares@moed.uscourts.gov or 314-244-7890 with further questions.
