U.S. District Court Announces Return to Limited In-Person Trials and Proceedings; Revises Building Entry Standards; Orders Effective Monday March 15, 2021

Tuesday, March 9, 2021

On Monday, March 15 the Eagleton and Limbaugh Courthouses will be reopened for limited in-person business, including some jury trials and other limited in-person proceedings.

As the Court’s Building Entry Standards Order states, COVID protocols remain in place, and the public can still access remote services from courthouse agencies, but general public access will be allowed provided COVID protocols are observed and persons only enter to conduct their required business.

The Court’s Case Operations Order states that jury trials may commence, but only a small number may proceed at once due to the need to observe COVID protocols. Other in-person proceedings may take place, provided the judge presiding in the case finds that there is a necessity to proceed in-person. Remote hearings remain available as well.

For further questions on either Order please contact Clerk of Court Greg Linhares at 314-244-7890 or greg_linhares@moed.uscourts.gov.
