Bar Membership Re-Registration

Thursday, November 10, 2022

Pursuant to Local Rule 12.01(E), all attorneys admitted to the Bar of the Eastern District of Missouri must renew their membership every four years (all attorneys admitted to practice prior to January 1, 2022 must re-register). The purpose of the re-registration is to keep the court's attorney database accurate and up to date. To re-register, follow the attached instructions. The fee for re-registering is seventy-five dollars ($75.00) and the deadline for re-registering is January 31, 2023. Attorneys renewing their registration after January 31, 2023, will be precluded from filing documents with the court but will be able to re-register by paying a late fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) in addition to the seventy-five-dollar ($75.00) registration renewal fee. Once re-registered, an attorney's filing privileges will be restored. After March 1, 2023, attorneys who have failed to re-register will be marked as inactive in the court's database.  If no renewal registration is filed within three months of the delinquency, the name of the attorney will be permanently removed from the roll by order of the Court, without prejudice to a subsequent application for admission.
